How to make a "Clickable URL" or hotlink in your message...

Several folks have asked about this, so here's how...

Using either lower case or capitals (we'll use caps) and taking care
to avoid any extra spaces...

Type <A HREF=" at the beginning of the complete URL,

like this: <A HREF="http://www.macusers.com/

Then type "> at the end of the URL,

like this: <A HREF="http://www.macusers.com/">

Then type either the name of the site, or the URL again,

like this: <A HREF="http://www.macusers.com/">Mac Users Group
or this:
<A HREF="http://www.macusers.com/">http://www.macusers.com/

Then close the link by adding </A> to the end.

like this:  <A HREF="http://www.macusers.com/">Mac Users Group</A>
or this:
<A HREF="http://www.macusers.com/">http://www.macusers.com/</A>

This will produce our sample clickable link:
Mac Users Group  or  http://www.macusers.com/
depending on which you decided to make.

Until you're comfortable doing this, consider
formatting your complete message off line
then copy & paste it into the message board.

Our message boards don’t conform to standard HTML (e.g. Returns function as line
breaks, as in regular word processing text) but adding a clickable 'touch' of HTML
can make messages with links much easier to navigate.

Another handy message formatting trick is to use <BLOCKQUOTE> tags to indent messages. Copy & Paste the open and close tags into your message, then type your message in the middle, like this:

<BLOCKQUOTE>Type your message here...</BLOCKQUOTE>
